$1.99 for regular. Is it 2004 again?
Quick! Everyone go buy Tahoes and Durangos! Hemis and LS motors only.

If you adjust for inflation it's probably more like 1998!
I remember when I was in college in the late 90s gas briefly went under a dollar a gallon. It was glorious.

Still can't afford to fill a Hummer. #WhiteMomProblems

That sounds amazing.

I got gas today. It was 2.55 near my school, I paid 2.39 near my house

It was the best. It didn't last long. But it was still cool.

I dunno how big the tank on a H2 is, but mines 27 gallons and I get about the same MPGs as a Hummer. This is a blessing.

I got ripped off at 2.459 today

And fuel prices in Mexico just keep rising. Fuck this world.

Ours hasn't been that high for about a month now.

OPEC is having difficulties, which is good for us and gas prices.

I'll gladly sacrifice the added cost of fuel where I live for the extra 30 degrees of warmth.

It was in the 60s today soo

And in a couple days it's going down into the 30s, where I live it will be mid 60s all week and into the 70s this weekend. CA>MO

Well I am higher than you. Altitude effects the density of gasoline

that's close to where I work, maybe I'll top off in the morning.

Jeep owners, rejoice as well!

I enjoy experiencing all four seasons so gas prices like this are just icing on the cake for me.

I paid $2.39 for 91 in Montana the other day, it made me happy. Then it made me sad because all my oil stocks are tanking.

You like freezing your gonads off for 1/4 of the year?

Those were good times! Sadly, its never coming back.

Damn. I saw $2.45/ gallon today, but most places are still over $2.50 here. Even thatakes filling up the pickemup truck a lot less painful.

It was pretty awesome!
It didn't matter that my puny 5 speed stick had to rev pretty high at 80 MPH on the freeway. Who needs a 6th gear when gas is a buck a gallon?
![]() 12/16/2014 at 00:24 |

Yep, I remember saying at the time, "17 mpg is pretty good."
![]() 12/16/2014 at 00:27 |

Haha yeah
I had an I6 but all the cool guys had V8s when I was in high school. A small block Chevy V8 was a fuel efficient motor back then. Your car wasn't considered a gas guzzler unless it had a big block.

When I got my License in 1992 gas was 89 cents a gallon and a pack of Marlboros was 1.39

I'm jealous. It's still around $3 where I am. But the day I got my driver's license gas was $1.47, cost about $20 to fill my tank.

Paying $4.30 in HI. Not sure the added temp is worth it? Of course, there's not really anyplace to drive to except on the big island, so.. maybe that compensates.

Hawaii takes things a little too far- I'd love a vacation home there, I don't think I'd want to live there permanently. Isn't the speed limit 55?

Depends where you're driving. All the islands are a little different. Big Island has several long roads that are very drivable. Mostly 2 laners, but fun. There is one of these on my island.
